Let's get a couple of things straight right from the start. First, no matter how much you beg, plead, cry or promise me you are not going to see me NUDE on this blog. Second, and even more so you are not going to get me out on the dance floor either. With that said I will now move on to the reason I have started this blog and that is to share with you (and myself) my travels along the financial roads I have taken since 2007.
Why 2007 you ask? Well I'll tell you. At the beginning of that year is when I retired at the young age of 52 from one of those industrial giants that has since gone bankrupt. I also moved all of my 401K into a managed IRA account so that it would grow and grow (right!) until I reach the ripe old age of 59 1/2. Now I have always considered myself as one who has made good financial decisions but as far as looking at a stock chart and knowing a support line from a resistance line it was all Greek to me, and options were something the company gave me instead of a raise which ended up worth less than the paper they printed it on.
As I watched the big decline of the market and my "managed IRA account" throughout 2008, I decided that "I" had to do something about it. Since I had so much more free time now (one can only play so much golf or travel to other places) I began taking classes and reading everything I could about the stock market, technical analysis, option strategies, other blogs and market psychology in general. I also surrounded myself with others doing the same thing by attending local investing groups, seminars and forums on the Internet.
As you have figured out by now I am by no means a financial expert or guru. However, I am someone who in the last three years has been educated enough to know that the market presents opportunities every day for those of us keen eyed enough to profit from.
The strategies I discuss within this blog are of my own devise and should not be taken as advisory or suggested trading styles. I am not a professional trader nor am I licenced by the SEC (or any other agency) to give any advise on securities or equities. In other words kids, don't try this at home unless you have some professional supervision. SEE DISCLAIMER
I hope that this blog will keep me focused on those opportunities by sharing them with you as well as you sharing your thoughts and comments with me. Together, one trader to another maybe we can make some sense of the day to day price actions and pocket a little change in the process. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.
